Alison (Driscoll) Zarrella is a social media strategist with more than 9 years of experience in the digital landscape, including web copywriting and social media marketing. She has advised a wide variety of clients on social media strategies, most notably in the consumer packaged goods, automotive and travel industries. She is the co-author of “The Facebook Marketing Book” (O’Reilly) and currently heads up an award-winning social media team in Las Vegas while running her own social media consultancy.
A 2006 graduate of Boston University, Alison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in Advertising. While at BU, Alison was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and served as their Public Relations Vice President.
Alison has been credited as a Facebook expert in both radio and print interviews, and has been featured as a guest speaker at college courses at Boston University and Emerson College. A frequent conference speaker, including CES, SXSW and PubCon, Alison has also contributed to industry publications such as Mashable. She has lead clients to become the most checked-into hotel in the world on Foursquare, while surpassing global brands in social media reach and engagement and leading the industry with new tools and best practices.
